Digital Agreements & Signatures
Create legally binding agreements that clients sign electronically. Agreements can be attached to quotes so the entire accept-and-sign workflow happens in one seamless process.
Agreement Templates
Create agreement templates in Templates > Agreement Templates. Use the rich text editor to write your contract terms. Templates support variable placeholders that are automatically replaced with real data:
{client.name},{client.company_name}– client details{quote.number},{quote.title},{quote.total}– quote details{order.number},{order.total}– order details{business.name},{business.email}– your business details
Attaching to Quotes
When creating or editing a quote, select an agreement template from the dropdown. When the client accepts the quote, they will be taken through the signature workflow.
The Signature Workflow
- Client views and accepts the quote on the portal
- The agreement is displayed with all variables replaced with actual data
- Client enters their full name and email address
- Client draws their signature using their mouse or finger on a touchscreen
- Client clicks Sign & Agree to complete
What Happens After Signing
- A signed PDF is generated with the signature and timestamp embedded
- An order is automatically created from the accepted quote
- If a deposit amount was specified, a deposit invoice is generated
- A confirmation email is sent to the client with the signed agreement PDF attached
Sending Agreements Directly
You can also send an agreement directly to a client without the quote approval step. Use the Send Agreement button on a quote to skip straight to the agreement and signature page.
Viewing Signed Agreements
Signed agreements are stored against the order and can be downloaded as PDFs at any time. The agreement status shows whether it is pending signature or completed.
