Scheduling & Managing Events
The Events module lets you create one-off or recurring events that members can book and attend.
Creating an Event
- Go to Events and click Add Event
- Fill in:
- Name and Description
- Category – e.g., Workshop, Social, Competition
- Date, Start Time, End Time
- Location and Facility
- Capacity – Maximum attendees
- Booking Opens/Closes – When members can book
- Enable Waitlist – Queue members when the event is full
- Instructor – Optionally assign a leader
- Click Save
Recurring Events
Create events that repeat on a schedule:
- Daily, Weekly, or Monthly patterns
- Set the interval (every 1, 2, 3... weeks/days/months)
- For weekly events, select which days of the week
- Set a date range for the series
Managing Bookings
View the attendee list for each event. You can:
- Add members manually
- Update booking status (Booked, Attended, Cancelled, No-Show)
- View capacity vs. bookings
- Manage the waitlist
Calendar View
Switch between list and calendar views to see events laid out on a monthly calendar, colour-coded by category.
